There is a good cycle route and a great walk across the fields – perfect to work up an appetite for lunch at one of the two village pubs. Our personal favourite, the king’s head (or low house as it is known locally) is egon ronay recommended, has great food and a lovely garden. The village also has a convenience store, which is open 7 days a week and a post office. accommodation details ground floor entrance lobby, sitting room with log burning stove, colour tv and video (additional plus 2 sleeping on sofabed), large fully equipped country kitchen with aga rayburn, dishwasher and microwave. Large sunroom with views of garden and fields (space for 2 put-me-up beds if required). Luxury bathroom with roll top bath, wc and washbasin. Within 20 minutes you can be at the charming seaside town of southwold, while the other beaches of the heritage coast - walberswick, dunwich and aldeburgh are all within an easy half an hour's drive. The cottage sits on the edge of the small hamlet of ubbeston green, between the market towns of halesworth and framlingham (6 miles and 5 miles respectively), which offer a variety of shops, supermarkets and pubs.Thatcher’s cottage offers peace and quiet and “a chance to get away from it all”. And when venturing out – good walking, cycling, golf and horse riding are at hand and the heritage coast, historic castles, norfolk broads, norwich and constable country are all within easy reach.
